Gordon R Brown established the company in 1987 although it existed prior to that under a different name. The original remit of the company was to supply local industry with an alternative to British Telecom for the supply and installation of telephone systems, services and ancillary equipment. A major part of the work of the company is still directed towards border industry due to the development of strong customer relations, but the geographic range of the business now being conducted now covers the central Scottish belt and locations as far south as London.
